Casting a Glass for MSD Dolls - First steps

Finally I can start with the long planned Casting. I've been meaning to do this for a while, as I just can't find MSD sized glasses for my Dolls.

So the only thing left to do was to do it myself and I want to get to grips with casting with epoxyresin. I want to show you here step by step everything how it develops and also show it begins.

First I have to create the mold for casting. In order to do this I had to model the glass myself. Not perfect, but I'm happy with it an I'm courious to see how the glass will look later.

Then I first need the container in which I can finally pour the mold. I'm afraid the material used for this, Foam Board, is not particularly optimal, but because of the smooth surface I wanted to give it a try. I once saw Lego bricks used for this as well. Possibly I'll use them on the next one.

Then the silicon was poured in until the glass is completely covered. Next to the picture you can see my next project: casting with tin or lead. I'll have to look in to it some more because I'd like to make some nice baroque bridles for the 1:4 horses, like you know from fairytales and medieval movies. Since you can't buy the metal parts for this. I'm going to try to make them myself here too. On the picture you can see a mouthpiece and abuckle. Both need to be reground. I had to repair it as the two parts unfortunately broke through during the first sanding.

Now I had some modeling clay left from the repair though. Of course I didn't want to throw them away. The Stuff is too expensive for me.^^ So i thought about what I could do with them. It became a mini rose. On the second picture is a size comparison with my thumb. It has become really very small.
