Kris bought Phoenix at an Horse market. At this time he was 11 years old and had run from home. Phoenix was five years old and had give up himself. Kris could't see how discuss a slaughter and the merchant about Phoenx Price. Headlong he bought the Gelding. He didn'd thought about it. He realized that after buying the horse, but he didn't want to give it up either. Money was the least of the problems. His parents were rich and since his birth he received a fixed amount on his own account every month. That was also the only thing his parents had done for him. Kris never touched the money and now used it to feed Phoenix. Phoenix thanked him by regaining hope and fighting. He became Kris' closest friend and companion. 

Phoenix has a calm and relaxed nature. He's well-balanced and won't get upset. He reacts very finely to Kris' help when riding and from the ground and can be ridden very well on the long reins. Phoenix is very attentive and watches his surroundings very closely.
